Description

This two-day class for mold remediation supervisors covers the practical skills and judgment required to oversee mold clean-up and water damage restoration projects.

The curriculum highlights decision-making around standards and regulatory requirements, focusing on why and when to choose specific techniques for diverse projects. Special emphasis is placed on risk assessment, selecting appropriate containment and decontamination approaches, and effectively communicating procedures to both technicians and clients. The course also deepens understanding of industry standards of care, empowering supervisors to tailor strategies to each unique situation.

The Mold Remediation Technician course is a prerequisite and can be combined at a discounted price.

This comprehensive course provides a detailed understanding of mold remediation procedures and practices. Key topics include:

  • Conducting preliminary assessments, calculating project costs, and organizing the necessary labor.

  • Defining the remediation project’s scope and developing a five-step project plan.

  • Performing thorough project documentation to record environmental conditions before and after remediation work.

  • Implementing contaminant control measures, removal processes, and strategies to prevent future contamination.

  • Establishing negative air pressure environments with HEPA-filtered ventilation systems.

  • Removing and disposing of contaminated porous and semi-porous materials, and cleaning non-porous surfaces.

  • Applying effective methods for structural remediation and preventing recontamination.

You’ll finish the course equipped with the practical skills and knowledge necessary for supervising successful mold and water damage restoration projects.
