Description
This OSHA Class II Asbestos Operations - Roofing training class covers the removal of asbestos-containing roofing materials, including, but not limited to, shingles, transite roofing, roofing felt, underlayment, flashing and sealants. This class meets the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(9)(iv) for roofing operations.
Course topics include asbestos identification, health effects, respiratory protection & PPE, medical surveillance, regulated areas, work practices, clean-up and disposal requirements specific to the removal of non-friable asbestos-containing roofing materials.
This eight-hour class includes hands-on activities.
This class does not meet State or Federal requirements for personnel who will be removing friable and/or regulated asbestos-containing materials (RACM) or will be performing Class I asbestos operations.
