The AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector course is a 3 Day initial training class which is required for anyone who will inspect for asbestos in any school, home, public, commercial or industrial building.

Description
This three-day course will provide attendees the knowledge and skill necessary to perform investigations for asbestos-containing material in all types of building including schools, public buildings, commercial buildings and homes. Topics include regulatory requirements, suspect material identification, health effects, personal protective equipment, building systems, inspection procedures, report preparation and legal considerations.
Training includes class lectures, instructor led demonstrations, 4 hours of hands-on training and a 50-question multiple choice exam.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of accreditation as an Asbestos Building Inspector.
This course complies with Title II of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and is approved under the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Model Accreditation Program, Chapter 33-15-13 of the North Dakota Air Pollution Control Rules and by the State of Minnesota under Minnesota Rules 4620.3700. While our EPA certification is federally recognized, all states have their own requirements, so participants are encouraged to verify whether these courses meet all the necessary criteria.
This class is a prerequisite for the Management Planner Course.
