As we mentioned last month, our HAZWOPER courses are designed by industry professionals to teach students the REAL information they need to keep themselves and others safe on the site.
How are our courses different? Some of the reasons include:
- Our instructors have been involved with a wide range of actual HAZMAT incidents, including many within the past year.
- Our facility specific trainings are tailored by your existing contingency Plans. These sessions include Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) designed Tabletop Exercises. These exercises, satisfy annual EPA and Coast Guard FRP regulations.
- Our open enrollment courses are specific and include many hands-on activities.
- Site Worker and Emergency Response roles are covered.
- Our SCBA instructor has a technician level rating and real-world experience.
- We encourage our attendees to bring their equipment and plans for further experience in site specific operations.
This isn’t death by powerpoint….this is a full blown learning experience. We send your employees back to your facility with a thorough understanding of the rules and the techniques they need to response safely and efficiently.
Our HAZMAT department can also provide the following onsite services through partnerships with industry leaders:
- Onsite HAZWOPER Initial and Refresher training
- Emergency Response & Preparedness Training
- HAZWOPER awareness level training
- Facility Emergency Plan review & development services
- Facility Audits
- Contingency Plan Development
- NDDEQ Facility Quick Reference Guide development
- Level A PPE training
School Asbestos Training Series
Once again, the Environmental Training Institute is holding a series of asbestos training classes to help North Dakota Schools maintain compliance with AHERA regulations.
According to the EPA regulations governing schools, all school custodial and maintenance staff who work in buildings where asbestos is present should complete at least a 2 hour awareness training session.
Individuals who conduct any activities that may result in the disturbance of asbestos-containing building material (ACBM) must receive an additional 14 hours of Special O&M Training.
